Do you ever just kind of want to punch someone in the face, but you’re not really sure why? Yeah, me too (maybe we’re twins).
So I came home from college yesterday, and I’m home for a month! For the whole 5 hour ride home from school I talked. I told stories about stupid stuff that happened at school, and I talked to my parents about my friends, and we discussed politics and the state of the world now, and in the future; regardless, we talked a lot. Anywho, the instant I got home I knew I wanted to do two things: 1) take a shower (not that I needed to, but there is something awesome about showering without shower shoes on…) and 2) go visit my boyfriend (he’s in college too! WOAH!!!). Whilst I was in the shower though, my parents left to go pick up my younger sister and my dog. This didn’t seem unreasonable to me, until I realized that they had taken the GPS with them. I’m extremely directionally challenged…seriously. I’ve lived in the same small town for the last 12 years, and I still get lost. I have problems. So the GPS is very necessary for me when I go anywhere, especially into the city to visit my boyfriend. I was distraught when I got out of the shower. My parents were taking an ungodly long time to get back, so I was pacing around my house (I’m on crutches right now also) making strangled noises and cursing my poor sense of direction. When they finally got home, I took the GPS and I hobbled my way to my car. First, I took the wrong exit, so the GPS told me to do the whole cloverleaf…by the time I had finished I was dizzy and confused about where I was headed. I then missed exits, was scared by stray dogs on the side of the road, and I was singing along to crappy music on the radio. By the time I got to campus, all I wanted to do was sleep; it’s weird how priorities change. We hadn’t seen each other for almost a month, so we had, well…plans. Instead, I slept. It’s kind of funny how things work sometimes.
Based on everything that’s going on right now, finals, injuries, etc, this basically sums up my life.
